SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ACTIONS
As a white person, I benefit from privilege that has not been accessible to all in our society. As a cisgender, heterosexual woman, I have been free of discrimination of how I identify and my choice of who I love. As a human on this planet, I am a part of this ecosystem and my actions have a direct impact on my environment.
I am compelled to acknowledge these truths and to hold myself accountable to use my privilege to support and uplift those who need it and to act as a steward of the the environment.
As I am developing my art business, it is is important that I incorporate these core beliefs into a foundational part of my business operations. I want to be as transparent as possible with my intentions and as clear as I can with my intended actions. As a starting point I will:
• Donate at least 5 pieces of art a year to raise money for non-profit groups and causes.
• Source my materials and package my art as environmentally friendly as possible, and from BIPOC/Women-owned business whenever possible.
•Use my platform to raise awareness and amplify social and environmental issues to encourage, support, and inspire action among my peers and audience.
