In this class, we'll work on cultivating our observational skills and artistic talent with inspiration from the beautiful farm at the Homeless Garden Project. Starting with a short presentation about a variety of approaches to field sketching and journaling, we'll take a look at several different examples of how to create a successful sketchbook page composition. After an overview of materials, techniques, and a quick demo, we'll head out into the garden to draw! The instructor, Tina Somers, will be on hand to help guide our garden artists when needed with composition, technique, or direction. All levels of experience are welcome.
